The pointscore is conducted to determine the winners each year of the following perpetual trophies:
Each of these trophies will only be awarded if there are a sufficient number of competitors for that trophie who score points in a sufficient number of events.

3. Scoring Categories & Trophies
Points can be scored in six categories as follows:
The Club Champion is the person with the greatest total score in the first five categories (excluding ladies).
The Ladies Champion is the female with the greatest total score in all six categories.
The Junior Champion is the junior with the greatest total score in the first five categories. A junior is a person who is under 17 on December 31 of the year in question.
The Rookie of the year is the rookie with the greatest score in the motorkhana, speed and rally categories. A Rookie is a person who first entered an event, while an HCC member, in the motorkhana, speed or rally categories on or after July 1 in the previous year.
The Speed Champion is the person with the greatest score in the speed category and who is not the Club Champion.
The Rally Champion is the person with the greatest score in the rally category and who is not the Club Champion.
The Motorkhana Champion is the person with the greatest score in the motorkhana category and who is not the Club Champion.
The Social Champion is the person with the greatest score in the social category and who is not the Club Champion and who is not the Rally, Speed or Motorkhana Champion.
The Standard Honda Champion is the person with the greatest score in the motorkhana, rally and speed categories but counting only those points gained while actually competing in a standard Honda and who is not the Club Champion and who is not the Rally, Speed or Motorkhana Champion.

The first and last events which form part of the pointscore for a given year will be nominated by the committee. Unless otherwise nominated, the first event of a given year's pointscore is the first event not included in the previous year's pointscore.
An event is only included in the pointscore if all members are notified in writing of the event at least 21 days prior to the event. Including the event in an issue of the club magazine which is posted at least 21 days prior to the event meets this requirement.
Speed events which score points in the Speed category include hillclimbs, lapdashes and sprints etc.
Observation runs score points in the Rally category.
Motorkhanas score points in the Motorkhana category.
Social events score points in the Social category and include:
Team events such as relay races also score points in the social category. Being a spectator at an event also scores points in the social category.
Attendance at meetings scores points in the Other category.
Events which are only open to ladies score points in the Ladies category and do not score points in any other category.

In the event of a tie, each person in the tie scores the same number of points, being the average of the points for the places in question.
Place above refers to the members place within the classes defined below and only taking into account other members, ie members compete only with other HCC members to determine placings for the pointscore. Enter means pay non-refundable entry fee.

For events run by the HCC only, the following additional points:
Each place and entry score an additional 100
The event director and event secretary score 279 points (equal to second).
Each official scores 250 points (equal to fourth).
This includes all competitive events organised by HCC including observation runs.
For rally category there are no classes.
For motorkhana and speed categories, classes are as per CAMS.
If there are insufficient HCC members in a class, it may be combined with another class.
For motorkhanas, wheelbase classes may be combined, but categories (ie Specials, 4WD/4WS, production) will remain seperate.
For speed events, capacity classes may be combined, but categories (ie Type 1,2,3,4,5) will remain seperate

For social category 100 points are scored for attendance at each social event.
Team events such as relay races are social events and score 100 points for each person attending whether or not they compete.
Attending a motorkhana, rally or speed event as a spectator scores 50 points in the social category unless the event is run by the HCC in which case 150 points is scored.

For the National Meet, Bathurst Speed Weekend and others with multiple events, each event is considered seperately.
National Meet, Bathurst Speed Weekend and other multiday events where we stay overnight are deemed to include a social event (score 100 for social category for attendance).
