| 02/06/2000 | Collected the modified stub axles. We changed the design slightly for this batch and they should be a little stronger than the last ones. |
| 04/06/2000 | Reassembled the rear suspension and brakes. I put the softer 150lb springs back in to try to get a bit more stick out of the rear end. |
| 10/06/2000 | Good Old Honda Car Club Driver Training Day. The car ran reasonably well. The engine needs tuning but I knew that. The brakes are fantastic and the handling is much improved with the softer rear springs. It didn't try to simply swap ends around every corner and had a bit of bite at the rear. It's still a bit tail happy, but nothing like it was. I didn't push hard at all during the day as I was just feeling the car out and working out what it will do. The engine and suspension still need work but it certainly has potential ... If I can get used to that damn brass clutch!! |
