26/09/1998 Engine dies - blown head gasket - head service with new guides, o-rings, recut seats
15/10/1998 Collect '84 Accord slotted disc rotors (only took about 6 weeks for them to arrive!)
01/11/1998 Replace head, using copper gasket and studs instead of bolts
01/11/1998 Engine dies - blown head gasket
02/11/1998 Replace threads in block with high-tensile inserts, replace head with standard gasket
13/11/1998 Porterfield R4 carbon-kevlar brake pads arrive for CRX calipers. Install new front brakes Pic
14/11/1998 Retorque head
15/11/1998 Destroy car with the aid of a tyre barrier (the engine was running perfectly before this). Engine block and gearbox brokenPic, left front suspension and steering bent, body stuffed.Pic
